Eye Movement Integration Plus

Trauma resolution skills enabling quick results.

EMI Plus has it roots in NLP Eye Movement Integration (Developed by Steve and Connirae Andreas) in 1989.  This approach is a very brief, content free process for resolving PTSD, intrusive memories, shame, guilt and other kinds of undesirable traumatic and emotional difficulties.

Nigel Hetherington has further added and developed this to include components of Hypnotherapy, Yoga and solutions orientated approaches, the EMI Plus approach.  I have been personally trained by the creator Nigel in this skill more information can be found at  http://www.emiplus.co.uk/

Most therapeutic approaches depend upon the communication skills of the client to verbalise how they are feeling. EMI Plus instead simply requires the client to consciously identify the feeling they want to change.  I then guide the client through a set of eye movements that enable the distress to resolve quickly and safely, alongside this I will focus on breathing techniques

Usually in a single session, even the most extreme emotional problems are quickly resolved, safely and congruently.

This approach enables me to work with you in a 'content free' way (not having to go deeply into memories) it is extremely simple and effective for decoupling emotional responses from the memory.  I am able to combine this with my experience and knowledge of working with Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy to offer the best approach in coming to terms with your difficulties.
