Release "Me" Weight loss programme

The Release me programme, (developed by Rae Jenson and John Lawrence of Hypnosis Scotland over the past 20 years) is based on the fact that people require a range of different approaches. Some people only require a few sessions, whilst others with more complex overeating problems can require a longer term of therapy.

Release Me

Quick Start Release: Three one hour sessions, usually carried out over three or six weeks to suit you. This is suitable as a start to therapy or if you have fairly straightforward overeating habits such as eating too quickly, large portions, failing to plan meals, making poor food choices etc.

In Session 1 we will assess your needs. Session 2 addresses your eating habits. Session 3 boosts self-confidence, self-esteem and body-esteem

Six Session Release: The first three sessions are as the Quick start release the thereafter sessions are determined by the your specific needs but may cover issues such as causes of overeating, dealing with stress,  working with goals and motivation.

Twelve Session Release: This includes all the above sessions and goes deeper into the issues that cause overeating and teach methods of resolution. These sessions can be spread over 12 weeks, 24 weeks or 12 months to suit you.

Please note that some people with eating disorders will require more than twelve sessions)

The Hypno-Band is the World Leader in gastric band hypnotherapy and is the original Virtual Gastric Band method in UK, USA, Australia and many more countries. Using a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Hypnotherapy our practitioners will help your change your eating habits forever!

About Hypnoband

The Hypno-Band could change your life for- ever. Imagine having the results usually achieved by having a surgical Gastric Band fitted but not having to go through surgery, and spending thousands of pounds!

By using the Hypno-Band hypnotherapy system I create a state of mind where you will believe you actually have a Gastric Band fitted! You will eat smaller portions and feel full. The Hypno-Band system is a long term solution to your weight problems.

How does it work?

Over four sessions I take you through the process of having a gastric band fitted, only in your mind. By using suggestion and visualisation your mind will be convinced that your stomach has become smaller and that you need less food. By eating less and less often you will begin to lose weight. The process uses hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural techniques to help you achieve your ideal weight - and stay there!  The initial session will include a full assessment and will last up to 11/2 hours. The following sessions last for one hour.

Does it involve surgery? No! the Hypno-Band system is a non-invasive behaviour changing method using the techniques of hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy.

Does it hurt? On the contrary. The Hypno-Band procedure is extremely relaxing and pleasurable.

Are there side effects? No. There are no side effects associated with undergoing this procedure.

So it's safe? Yes! the Hypno-Band system is perfectly safe.

Will it work for me? The key to success is you! No weight loss system will work unless you are committed to losing weight. You must be pre- pared to change your eating habits and life-style. If you are totally serious about losing weight then it will certainly work for you. The Hypno-Band system provides you with the tools and ability to lose weight and maintain a healthier body.

How long does it take? The whole process takes four sessions. The first three sessions can be weekly with the 4th taking place six weeks later.  Alternatively the session can be fortnightly to suit.

A self-hypnosis recording MP3 or on CD is also included in the price of all sessions. This helps supports the work done in the therapy.

Feedback from clients ..

'After just 3 “release me” weight loss hypnotherapy sessions with Rachel I have lost a total of 9lbs. I now think differently about food and am much more mindful when I eat. I feel more in tune with my body and more able to recognise true hunger as opposed to craving food for comfort. Rachel also taught me a technique to help cope with negative emotions such as stress, guilt etc so this is what I use now instead of turning to food to make myself feel better. I have also increased the amount of exercise I do and can see my body shape changing. I feel much healthier already and feel positive that these changes will continue.' - J - March 2015

'I have suffered from Bulimia and (at times) anorexia for the past 26 years.  Hours, days, weeks, months and years of food ruling my life - thinking of it every second of the day, how many calories , missing out on so many meals with family and friends, low confidence and self-esteem, an absolute sense of self loathing and inability to love myself.

When I first met with Rachel, she advised that the gastric band hypno course would not be suitable and recommended the ‘release me’ programme.  As you can imagine, I was gutted, I wanted to lose weight and be thin, however the course Rachel suggested has had an immeasurable impact on my life – I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say it has changed my life!!!  I have had 5 sessions with Rachel over a period of 4 months, lost 17 lbs and in relation to my binge/purge ‘episodes’, have only had 4!!!  Before the sessions, I was asked to describe in one word how I feel about my body, my response - ‘repulsed’.  Now I accept my body and am no longer ‘repulsed’ by it – this is something that I thought I would ever hear myself say.  The change has been short of a miracle - I am more confident, deal with things in a more positive way, enjoy going out for a meal with my family and friends and more importantly, am growing to love and accept myself'.  - Anonynmous Sept 2014
